Vitamin K
Vitamin K2 75µg
What is Vitamin K2?
The history of vitamin K2 goes back centuries, more precisely to feudal Japan where Samurai warriors consumed vast quantities of natto – a dish made of fermented soybean. This dish, still consumed today, is the highest food source of vitamin K2. Fermented foods – such as sauerkraut and miso, and animal products including meat, butter, egg yolks, cheese and yogurt also contain vitamin K2. However, while historical diets probably provided enough vitamin K2, food preparation and storage in the modern world mean we are not getting nearly as much from our diets. In fact, most western diets are deficient. K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin essential for bone density. This vitamin regulates the transport and distribution of calcium in the body, playing a vital role in bone health. It is also needed for blood clotting, which helps the healing of wounds.
Why is ours better?
We make our capsules only from vitamin K2 in its MK-7 form. This is the purest, most active and safe form of vitamin K2 to support normal bones and blood clotting. Even better, compared to other forms of vitamin K, MK-7 reaches bones and vessel walls more easily whilst also remaining biologically active in our bodies for longer.
Who is this for?
For anyone looking to promote healthy blood coagulation and bones.
